AIGA has been a powerful resource for professional designers for decades, so we were excited to participate in this year’s NY Job Fair to meet the next generation of creative talent. We set up alongside companies large and small, including agencies, design firms, and other organizations with internal creative teams.

Over the course of four hours, Katie, Kevin, Susan, and Steven chatted with well over 150 upcoming and recent graduates. As the only boutique design studio in attendance, we gained particular interest from attendees eager to understand more about what it’s like working in an independent creative studio environment.

The students were also interested in what qualities we look for in a design intern. We left the experience energized and inspired to find more ways to share our knowledge to support a more inclusive community with the designers of tomorrow.
