For this year’s SARANKCO summer outing, we closed the studio for the afternoon and headed up to the New York Botanical Garden to experience the breathtaking work of Dale Chihuly. After having lunch in the picturesque Stone Mill, set on the bank of the Bronx River, our team took a guided tour of the Garden to learn about Chihuly’s incredible installations. We were inspired by how thoughtful placement of each piece created a dynamic interplay between the vivid colors and organic shapes of the works, as well as the plants and other elements in the natural setting. 

Our tour guides, Tatiana and Lenore, were full of fascinating information (and personal ancedotes), letting us in on the intent behind Chihuly’s pieces and also sharing some great insights about the design of the grounds. We enjoyed a beautiful day outside of the studio and the opportunity to spend time with our teammates.
