We’re a small startup with a big personality and a passion for helping people sleep better.
Can you roll up your sleeves and help us develop our brand identity from the ground up?
Though there were great raw branding elements to work with, including a relatable origin story and a healthy dose of quick witt, we had a lot of ground to cover to help make One Fresh Pillow a contender in their competitive landscape. We also knew we’d need to be savvy in developing a strategy and solutions that would work within a start-up budget.
The Identity System
Irreverent and spunky, One Fresh Pillow was determined not to take itself too seriously in a wellness space cluttered with earnest self-care companies. We let the energy of the founders and their personal connection to the brand guide us in defining their core pillars: Fresh, Innovative, and Authentic.
Though they were dedicated to counting sheep and catching zzzs, the freshness of the brand’s personality meant their visual identity needed to be far from sleepy.
We took the lead on designing a packaging system, sourcing options and finding solutions that would provide a “wow” moment upon delivery, but also tie into the eco-friendly ethos of the company.
It didn’t take long for us to realize that our founders had game when it came to social, so we gave it a prominent role in our marketing roadmap, which laid out actionable steps for educating, engaging, and retaining customers.
The visual elements we created included original illustrations to speak to the value proposition in a way that reflects the brand’s personality. These icons also allow for recognition and continuity across social media, packaging, and the website.
